Walk at Hirsel
Lake Walk
The lake walk is about a mile in length and extends about the man made lake, now the home of several species of water birds.
Starting at the car park go west on the south side of the lake. A Hide part way down the lake gives the visitor an opportunity to observe the several species of bird life and if you are lucky, you can see otters who periodically visit from the near by River Leet.
At times of heavy rainfall, it is wise to wear suitable footwear as the path can become a little muddy in places on the north side of the lake. The walk goes in a circle rejoining the main drive and back down to the car park.
